On Hwy 160 and Juniper Lane: The Alamosa / Great Sand Dunes KOA Journey is 3.5 miles east of Alamosa at mile marker 237 on the north side of Hwy 160.

Plan to stay up past dark so you don't miss seeing the Milky Way! We are thrilled that there is very little light pollution at our Campground. We help our guests get the most of this star gazing opportunity by providing constellation maps and books. Check in with the front desk when you arrive to see if there is an astronomy interpretive event scheduled during your stay.
